Jasper is a 12 month old male Alexandrine Parrot who is very cheeky, and loves company - something that we don't have the time to give him. This is why we need to find him another home. We also have quite a few different animals and a close scrape with almost being eaten by one of our dogs made us realise we can no longer keep him. He was purchased exactly 12 months ago from a breeder who hand reared him up until 8 weeks old. Alexandrine parrots are known to be very talkative, at the moment we have only been able to teach him to whistle and when he's left alone he will chatter away at nonsense words. Someone with experience with teaching birds to talk, or some patience and time, will find it not a problem teaching Jasper. He enjoys sitting on your shoulder while watching tv or even when folding the washing. He'll be sure to help out with debuttoning any shirts. He doesn't squalk very much, except for when he's telling you he's hungry, or wants attention. Jasper comes with his own cage, toys and any food he has left. We will miss him dearly, and it is important to us that he goes to a good home. Probably not suitable for young children, and ideal for someone who is home regularly, or can spend time with you throughout the day. |
